 There is something going in St. Louis: the first stores having Zune in displays were there and yesterday the first Zune 2 was sold there! Unfortunately its not working until this Tuesday when Zune Software 2 / Zune Firmware 2 are going to be released as it lacks an installation CD at all. I got it, they have to be still in Daylight Savings time there, the city comes from the future!... |

 Microsoft sponsors the new Battlestar Galactica movie and game. Although the game partnership has to do with Xbox 360 of course, VUgames has created a promotional site giving the chance to 12 people to win 50000 Microsoft points each. I remind you Microsoft Points can be used on Xbox Live Marketplace but also on Zune Marketplace, enough to buy 632 tracks. Anyone interested ? :) ...

 Adforum has selected the Flash Zune commercial, known as Ballad of Tina Pink, to be in the top 5 of this week's best ads. The Zune ad is in No2 position after the Sony's PS3 "Universe of Entertainment". The truth is T.A.G. created a very nice ad, although its not showing Zune all the time as some fans complain... |

 As I had posted a few days ago, Zune team had a second TV ad coming, similar to the first, showing a guy in a bus holding a Zune 80 instead of a Zune 8 in the first one. He also dives into his player, in a fantasy world, views his photos and does some amazing stuff with friends or better as the song goes "a thousand versions of himself". Watch the video below...

 Zune boxes starting appearing on displays. The first found is on a St. Louis Target store. The photos shows a Red, Black and Pink Zune 4 & 8 boxes next to normal Zune 30 boxes. I don't believe Target is selling them before November 13th, but are there for your eyes-only (and with a don't-steal label on them - joking :) )... |

 Adweek talks with Zune's partner Tag chief strategist, Mike Harris, and Zune's Senior Advertising Manager, Jack Oh, about the new "You Make it You" campaign. We should expect a new similar TV clip, this time with a young man in a bus falling into his Zune. Also if in NYC keep an eye on Times Square's ads because the print version will also be displayed there. Jack Oh says the new campaign will cost Microsoft more than twice as much as the first year, which was estimated at $25 million...

 After Zune 4 & 8 passing FCC, now it's time for Zune 80. Although the documents posted very carefully and don't include photos, schematics etc. there are a few things we learned from them: Zune 80's codename is Draco, has an LCD screen from Samsung, a Hard-Disk from Toshiba and includes the premium Zune earbuds...

 Apple decided to choose a video from an individual on YouTube for the new iPod Touch TV ad. I believe what they did is excellent, but forgot to check the background of the track used, which had been used before in the "Ballad of Lion and Gazelle" Zune promotional video. It's from the Brazilian band CSS, promoted by Zune, "My Music is Where I'd like You to Touch"... |
