Stan, you must be using the program wrong. I easily encoded 'The Bourne Ultimatum' from 5 GB to 500 MB using Super. I've also done 300 from about 6 GB to 600 MB.

All you have to do is select the 'Zune' predefined settings on Super. Set the video aspect depending on your original dvd, 320x240 for 4:3 or 320x180 for 16:9. Then pick somewhere around 500 kbps bitrate, and set the audio anywhere from 64-128 kbps. Also make sure to set the FPS to about the same as the original media. Most DVDs will be 29.97.

Next just right click and add the .VOB files that you presumably DVD decrypted (it won't work otherwise) and start encoding. After its done, if you are doing a full movie, I suggest opening up Movie Maker, and placing all the new files together in one larger file. That way you don't have to pick 5 videos to watch a whole movie.

Also, 1.2 GB to 110 KB is impossible. The video quality would by absurdly terrible. I wouldn't want to watch the Office without being to see Jim's funny looks at the camera! - Evan

Works fine, but makes huge files

I tried out Super and while it does do what it advertises, it makes huge, ungainly files. With the recommended settings, a 22 minute episode of The Office, originally about 1.2 GB on the DVD, translated to a Zune-ready file that was about 1.4 GB.

I ended up downloading and buying another product, by Cucusoft, that makes the same episode into a file about 110 KB in size.
