By the way, how did you write the script? Does it que the Zune software to continually ping the servers? Is there some text file on the server/firmware cab that is accessible via web interface? If so, is it possible to look at the marketplace from a web browser? - Adam

All I'm saying is that 1 minute seems like quite a short interval. Isn't it taxing your servers at all? I can see checking once per day after 1.3 is released, but once a minute just seems a little steep. But hey, don't let me stop you. I don't have the skipping issue, so maybe I'm a little biased. - Adam

v1.3 will solve the skipping problem many people have on their Zune. Don't worry after releasing it, I will change it to longer intervals than 1 minute :) - Zune-Online.com

Hilarious. But don't you think about once per hour / half hour / 10 minutes is good enough? I just don't see why you need to ping it every minute. Nobody needs the firmware that badly, and MS is probably going to get pissed and cut you guys off. But it's still a nice idea. - Adam
