When I started hearing about the zune, before i could even afford one i downloaded the program to check it out. I always wanted an MP3 player and I wanted this one to be my first one. The idea of a bigger screen than others , that you can send files through wifi to others and the included radio was what made my descicion to get one. I do wish it had a calendar and an alarmclock but i can do with out. I love this thing. I take it everywhere i go. I just wish more people in my area had one so i can try the wifi. I love recording my shows into it and when ever i go and wait in places i can catch up on my favority blogs i converted or dvds i have transfered. Hope they keep building on it and make it better. but so FAR I LOVE it!

I got a zune because i was tired of my i-pod and decided to try something new. Also got it because of its wifi capabilities.

I got my Zune because I used a co-workers iPod and liked the video.  Then I heard about the Zune and the larger screen, the FM Tuner, the customizable background, and the WiFi.  I thought, this is just like an iPod only it does all this stuff better.

Plus, I despise the smug attitude of Apple.

I mainly got my zune due to the look and screen size, besides i love the actual usability of it. Now im just waiting for games, which im hoping will be compatible with my off the line series, i want the games cause it seems to have everything else!

I got my Zune because it looks slick, does everything I need it to do and because I use Windows and disagree with using Apple software/hardware/devices on a windows machine.

I got one mainly to consolidate devices.  I was using a 4th gen ipod for music and watching video on my PSP.  I've played around with the latest video ipod, but didn't care for the smaller screen.  I guess a secondary reason was just to be different.  Even got a brown one to be that much more different!

I bought my Zune for a number of reasons...
First of all, I had an ipod for years, and went through 4 (I got it replaced by the warranty three times, and I had a color/picture ipod) ipods.  I was never satisfied with the appearance of the ipod: the grey scroll wheel and its white body seemed bland to me.  After 1 or 2 days of owning an ipod, it would have smudges and scratches all over its metal side, and scuff throughout the screen and its white side.  I always hated that about the ipod and I find it to be its biggest flaw.  When the Microsoft Zune was announced, I noticed it had a sleek plastic body, in two-toned colors, which delighted me.  I was immediately drawn towards the brown (and green!) one, and bought it a few weeks later. All my friends look at it with jealousy, and they look back at their scuffed, scratched, and, basically, ugly, ipods.  I'm damn glad I bought my zune, and it works perfectly for me...

I bought a zune for a few reasons. The first was the better features than the ipod. With more features its also cheaper which was a plus for me. The other reason was that i was interested in hacking or getting hacks for it.The last reason was the wireless sharing. I love sharing songs with my friends and the few people that i found locally.

Although I'm a 57 year old grandma with seven grandchildren, I always like to keep up with the latest technology.  After receiving an iPod Nano for Christmas I decided to return it for the new Zune since it had a nicer screen.  I enjoy the quality of the music and the big screen for digital photos.

I puchased My Zune to replace my neuros (20gb mp3 player with fm broacaster built in, worked great but battery replacements became to frequent and had to move on as these are no longer offered) Best part of this is the fact that it IS NOT an ipod. I have never owned an ipod and dont want one either, if I were to get one as a gift I would prolly sell it. Ipods are over rated!!
