XP HOME multilingual and PRO non English Zune Software installation (solved)

Hi,

Very simple guide:

First of all you have to know your username.

Klick START - Execute type CMD and enter.


net localgroup USERS /add -> enter

net localgroup INTERACTIVE /add -> enter 



net localproup USERS "Username" /add -> enter                 
(e.g. net localgroup USERS Michael /add)

net localproup INTERACTIVE "Username" /add -> enter

Thats it.

It works on both.. Home and Pro.

If somebody can test this on an English XP Home..
I think it will work too.

Whats going on?? I cannot understand whats going on... I do exactly what you say and on the final (net localproup INTERACTIVE "Username" /add -> enter) it says : The localgroup does not exist. Why???

Are you sure you did this? :
net localgroup INTERACTIVE /add

Yes! I am absolutely sure because i did it over 5 times. And it says that the interactive exists

I've done the same and it says that the Interactive group already exists. I'm running Win XP Home SP2 Spanish.

Me too.  it says that the Interactive group already exists and when i try to add to this group the username it says that it doesnt exist. I'm running Win XP Home SP2 Greek.

So guys post here the last 50 lines of the ZuneInstall.log
Press win+r  and write:  %temp%  ,  [enter]
In that dir you will find ZuneInstall.log

The ZuneInstall.log does not exist. The only file that exists is ZuneLogoAnimation_f8.

equi you have Greek Windows right? So do this:
win+e |  Εργαλεία | Επιλογές Φακέλων | Προβολή

The problem is you have configured your windows (default configuration) not to show you hidden and system files. Make sure in the dialog that appears you have the following configuration. I believe after this you'll be able to see the ZuneInstall.log

Nothing again. I ve tried over 30 times to install Zune software but again i cannot find the ZuneInstall.
log.  Something to ask: The ZuneInstall.log must be directly in folder Temp? Or Temp->...other files...->ZuneInstall.log???

equi, I have exactly the same problem as you with windows XP in Spanish. The only way I found to install the Zune software is with the installer I downloaded from

You didn't enter a space character after the group's name:
net localgroup users /add
