Upgrade your Zune to 40 GB |

iPodMods disassembled Zune and gives us a howto tutorial. This is definitely a dont-do-this-at-home. They say you can even now take the Zune's 30 GB hard disk out and replace it with a 40 GB one. 60GB or 80GB disks are also possible but in the cost of leaving your Zune's back panel open  EDIT: with a bit more effort the 60 & 80 GB disks fit in Zune...

| IPodMods have found that it is possible to use the new ZIF drives from Toshiba in Zune. The 40 GB model can replace the existing 30GB without problems. There is a problem with the 60GB and 80GB models. Zune is not designed for these models, so they want leave the back panel fit back.
