Laura Foy of Channel 10 Interviews Cesar MenendezLaura Foy of Channel 10 visited Cesar Menendez (aka ZuneInsider) in his base, the Zune Headquarters. After letting him present the new features of the Zune 2 platform and asking trivial questions, she gets a list out with the real thing: Trivial: Does Zune 2 has a clock? Trivial: Zune 30 with the firmware 2 will be able to talk to the new Zunes? Tough: Why a squircle and whats the difference with a rounded square?...

About the clock, I'm officially bored to hear that request. So I kind of enjoyed the answer, NO! Zune 2 won't have a clock. Cesar says there are many other features Zune can get which are more related to it's purpose, music, than a clock. I don't know if there is any technical obstacle for a clock implementation, otherwise I don't see a reason Microsoft didn't add a so simple feature so many people have asked for... anyway.

Cesar goes on saying the current player, known from now on as Zune 30, with the new Firmware v2 will have the same functionality and menus like the new Zunes (of course there is no touch-pad here).

The next question is about the squircle touch pad. Laura is such a bad girl and asked Cesar what is the difference between a squircle and a rounded square, which I was mentioning some days ago. Apparently Cesar hadn't read it :)
