If you check the "whois" info about the domain name Zune.com , you can clearly see that it now belongs to Microsoft, as it points to the company's DNS servers. Zune team preferred, until now, to go with .net domains . The last change I noticed on it was back on November 2006, when just before Zune 30 release it was displaying "www.zune.com is coming" ...
Of course because Microsoft may have selected to keep it secret. The domain could be belonging to Zune for a couple of years now.
Microsofts may change the policy on Zune domain names. Just check how many .com domains they have registered about Zune Originals project just before the last release.
