Toshiba 80GB and 160GB 1.8" disks - Used in New iPod Classic?Toshiba announced, after the Apple's announcement of the new iPod Classic with 160GB and 80GB hard-disks, the release of two new models which have the same physical and data size as the disks in the new Apple player. The 160GB 1.8" disks is now the new limit for 1.8" disks as Samsung also announced its own version. In any case rumors say the new Zune 2 will only have an 80GB disk...

From Engadget

[...] As for the details behind the 160GB MK1626GCB: 2x 80GB platters, 3,600rpm, 52MBps (66MBps for 80GB HDD) transfer rate and 15-ms mean seek time, and portable device-friendly CE-ATA interface on a mini 54 × 71 × 8-mm slab. [...]

Samsung also announced a 160GB 1.8" disk, the new extension to their Spinpoint N2 Series disks a few days ago, on August 20th.

Don't you think that an 80GB Zune 2 (if rumors are true) is a bit low on space when there are solution for 100GB, 120GB and now 160GB hard-disks?

EDIT (September 7th): iFixit has disassembled the new iPod Classic Classic 80GB and it does use the new Toshiba hard drive:
