Clear Zune limited editionA limited edition Zune for Microsoft employees we hadn't seen before. It has a transparent case so you can see the inside of it. There are no more information on how many of these exist or if they will be available like the Pink & Orange limited editions, as easter eggs.

According to our tipster AlkalineProdigy , the guy who has it works for the Zune team. We've read at some point before the release, some Zune team members got their player, for testing purposes, in many different colors so Microsoft wouldn't have to worry about leaks.  Or this can just be a custom made case for some guy who just wants to see it all.

The story behind this is kinda wierd. My buddy who works with the zune team got approached by a fellow worker who just gave him the clear zune (returning a favor). He said the plastic is different than the black/orange zune and it scratches easily. He said he doesnt use it because of that but will never sell it as they only made a few of them.

this isnt an 'easter egg' zune
it was the current zune's prototype
very few people got it, only those who had relations to the zune team managed to get one. it is far less powerful than the retail zunes, its basically a collectors item i guess. rare prototype.
