A Zune user complains he got injured in his ear by an electric shock and very loud noise of his Zune 30 back in November 2006. Joel Geddis says that since then he's gone through medical care with limited results and filled a suit against Microsoft and Toshiba (the hardware creator of Zune 30). We've read before about people who got electric shocks by Zune 30 or just static electricity, but never one who got injured...
From microsoftzuneinjuries.com : My Experience with the Microsoft ZuneIn November of 2006, I received an electric shock through the earbuds of my Microsoft Zune. Simultaneously, the Zune emitted a very loud noise through the earbuds and the device began to reset.
Since the incident, I've suffered blood and fluid leakage from my ear canal, a temporary threshold shift, and incessant ringing and discomfort.
In October of 2007, after eleven months of medical treatment with limited results, I filed a personal injury lawsuit against Microsoft.
I hope its just a lie and nobody got injured from using a music player; we'll find out in the days/weeks. [via Engadget ] Related articles: Static electricity shuts Zune down
