As announced on 28-09-2006 from Microsoft, users can use the prepaid Microsoft live points to buy music from the upcoming Zune Marketplace....
Live points, well known to the Xbox community, is a stored value system just like a prepaid phone card. Users buy live points using a credit or debit card online and will be able to use them to purchase songs from the Zune Marketplace. There also many participating retail locations where the users can get prepaid gift cards if they don't have a credit card or they don't want to use it online. Microsoft announced the price of every song to be $0.99 or 79 points. ($1 = 80 points)
It looks like Microsoft wants somehow to interconnect the two products, Zune & Xbox. Could this mean that the next step is Zune to become a portable game console? Click here to buy live points
