Have you seen the new CNN's Zune review iPod commercial? At first the Zune is comparable to the iPod and has also some new cool things. But then problems emerge and at the end an iPod shuffle gets advertised!!! Hello ? Anybody home ?...
Andrew Ross Sorkin of New York Times was Soledad O'Brien's guest with a black Zune in his pocket. At first Zune had some advantages over iPod but also some disadvantages. Zune has radio and Wifi and the social aspect but its a bit bigger and heavier than iPod. The wifi is limited to Zune to Zune transfers only. OK so far so good. The DRM also is a bad thing, it does not cooperate with DRMed content from the iTunes or others. And then: - "May I show you my new shuffle?" - "Thats the thing its a lot sexier than this" - [...] "It weighs nothing [...] 70 something bucks" And then the conversation ends comparing Zune to the Apple's shuffle (?) and Microsoft should get "some descent design people to make things look better". Hello ? You are comparing iPod shuffle to the Zune? They are different products. Zune is a video + music player, iPod shuffle is an as small as can be music player. The next commercial will be Sony Wega 42" vs Zune 3" screen ? I would also prefer to watch a movie on a Sony Wega TV! Watch the unbiased CNN's Zune review:
