Zune Pass is the way for unlimited downloads from the 2-2.5 million tracks in the Zune Marketplace. When you buy Zune you get also a 14 days trial subscription. Of course Zune Pass has some restrictions...
While you have an active subscription with a Zune Pass you can download unlimited tracks from the MarketPlace. Because of the coexistence of "2 million tracks" and "unlimited downloads" there are some restrictions that apply. - You can't send through Wifi Zune some tracks you buy from the MarketPlace.
- There are albums that you can download some but not all the tracks from.
- You can't burn CDs you download with Zune pass.
The right word to use for the Zune Pass is rent music. You don't actually buy it, but you buy an one month license to download and listen to (almost) everything available in the Zune MarketPlace.
Thats a very good idea for people that hear tons of music and $0.99 per track would mean much money in their case. When you buy Zune you can use the 14 days trial to make your own opinion. Let us know what you think about it in our forum: http://www.zune-online.com/forum .
