Zamzar is currently in beta status. It allows users without the need to register or pay for the service, to transform many kind of formats. For video, the available options don't contain wmv as an output format although it is supported as input. If you want to use this service for your Zune, you'll have to select mp4 as output and wait for the Zune Software to convert it again to compatible wmv before syncing.

If you want to upload your video (or other content) by yourself, just go to www.zamzar.com . If you want to let Zamzar download the content by itself from a link go to www.zamzar.com/url . Zamzar supports also many online video providers like YouTube and Google Video. The user has just to provide the link to the video interface.

After that the selection of the ouput format follows and the entry of the e-mail where the download link for the converted file will be sent.

The service provides a BookMark for browsers. When clicked on a site with compatible files it saves the user from the manual work of pasting the links to the service
