Zune on Mac using Parallels Print E-mail
Written by Kostas Tzounopoulos

Zune works now on Parallels virtualization software for Mac! You have now 3 options on a Mac: BootCamp, VMware Fusion and Parallels. I hope native support is near...

Patrick Stuart tried installing the Zune software on Windows running on Mac OS X using Parallels. Sometime ago you couldn't do that on Parallels. The software would install but the Zune player wouldn't connect. But the latest beta can do this fine!

Read more in Patrick Stuart's article .

just for the sake of a quick reply, I'm gonna repost this question gave to the other Paralles post . . .

I'm looking into getting a MacBook and just got a Zune for my birthday. I realized this whole Parallels thing might be the exception, and thank god it's worked for some people!
Anyway, the main question is, will all of my music files have to be saved on the Windows XP side of things? Will I be able to access these files within OS X? Basically, If I decide to get a MacBook (instead of a PC) and use this Parallels thing just for my new Zune, I want to make sure it's worth it. If I can help it, I don't want to keep hopping back and forth from XP to OS X just for music.

Zune Software is not supported on Mac OS X, so you'll have to run Windows one way or another because currently there is no alternative to sync Zune.

Read more here: Zune on Mac and Linux
Also Windows Media DRM Zune uses, is not supported on Mac OS X. So you need Zune Software of Windows Media Player 11 to listen to the DRMed tracks from the Zune Marketplace.
