Some good news for Mac and Zune connectivity. The new VMware Fusion version for Mac (still in beta) is capable running Windows and syncing Zune player...
Justin Richards is a member of our forum who tried to install the Zune Software on a Mac using VMware to run Windows XP on OS X. It works fine! VMware is a virtualization program. You can run another Operating System on your computer concurrently with your main one. You can learn more about it on www.vmware.com. Zune looks to connect using USB2.0 high speed on VMware for Mac. Unfortunately you can't do this on the Linux & VMware solution . At least not until the version 6 is released, which will support USB2.0 . Check some screenshots below. Click on these for the big version.
If you have a Mac and a Zune, please do try this at home and let us know what happened! EDIT: Some time ago PlaylistMag had tried to use Zune with "Parallels" virtualization software. They didn't have much success, Zune wouldn't connect. If anyone tries it and succeeds, you know where to find the contact form :) http://playlistmag.com/weblogs/ipodblog/2006/12/zunemac/index.php
