Or the Zune Christmas Miracle - use any title you like. The fact is Zune ranked in No2 sales position after Nintendo Wii this Thanksgiving - Black Friday days. According to InfoWorld Americans spent $800 million in online shopping these two days and according to PriceGrabber, eBay and Shopping.com Zune ranked in this high position. The data come not from sales but from online search results for products. And I'm reading today is Cyber Monday (?!) ...
If you are the Boss in a company with computers connected to the internet please STOP READING NOW! OK, so, its the first time I read about Cyber Monday. According to this concept, people today go normally to their jobs as they do every Monday. After a long weekend, there is a lot of work to do, but instead they do their online shopping! This concept according to articles I've read is gaining momentum in USA and every year is getting better and better for online stores. That means cardiologists will do better too, many CEOs will start having heart attacks this day of the year. And while we talk about Zune, I'd be really interested to find out how many Microsoft has sold these last few days. Most of the devices sold are of course discounted Zune 30 players. I'm wondering if its possible in a few weeks to sell more than the first 7-8 months, 1.2 million players?! [via InfoWorld ]
