According to ZuneInsider today is the day of the Zune v2.3 Firmware update, coming to fix some minor bugs on Zune 30 and 80 players like the battery bug and sync-stability issues. If you don't have any problems with these, you can safely keep up what you are currently doing: no new features here for you...

Specifically the battery issue affecting a small percentage of Zune 30/80 GB users - I posted about this last week in case you missed it. In addition to the battery issue, this update provides some performance improvements:
Improved device recognition
Improved stability and reliability on sync (both wirelessly and while connected to a PC).

hopefully this will fix some problems ive been having the last few days, for some reason some songs are only syncing half the data, for example a song that's 6 min long when i sync it it only plays 4 minutes on my zune and move on to the next song,,, weird,

are we able to download the firmware v 2.3 now. i tried updating my zune software and it told me software was already up to date. is there something else i need to do.

hey, i am currently thinking about buy a zune 80. the only thing is that i rum XP 2002 SP2. I have heard that there are some problems between zune 80 and SP2. Does anybody know if this firmware update helps that problem???
