Zune 30 Downgraded to v0If you've been reading Zune forums there are quite a few of you people who don't like the new Zune Software v2. But this guy, Mikehill33, never forgave his Zune for upgrading to v2 and downgraded it to v0 ... with a hammer Surprised. See more photos from the Welcome to my Hammer promo after the jump...

Just smashed my Zune. BYE!

Zune desktop software completely locked up, unable to sync any content....unable to uninstall, reinstall or ANYTHING.
So I solved my problem the easy way, took a hammer to it.
Just placed an order for a 160GB iPod.
Will never use another MSFT Media Device EVAR.
What a complete failure of a device.
Have fun sucking Apples wind!
Bye Zune, Welcome to my Hammer!

Doubt that he was an actual Zune owner. Probably an Apple fanboy that picked up a Zune on Ebay specifically so that he could do this. I'm not buyin' it.

What a stupid move
written by Tim Bevl, November 15, 2007
A bit bipolar I suspect. What a waste. I'm wondering if he had some other program running when he did the install. The Zune should not be compard to the iPod (for the zillionth time), once you understand you can fill your 80GB Zune completely full with subscription music (new music a that) it falls in a different category than then cash-cow iPod. I currently have over 2,500 songs on my Zune, wouldn't that be expensive at 99 cents a track.

No other wosftware except Zune 2
written by Mikehill33, November 15, 2007
Definitely NOT a fanboi of any kind. I have a Media Center, Windows Mobile phone and was more than happy to give a Zune it's day.

The software simply locked itself out of seeing the device (both wired and wireless). The more i tried to uninstall/reinstall the less i got. Not to mention all the issues I was having with the Zune software trying to rip my entire video collection (crashing machine), and downloading EVERY episode of a podcast, maybe you can see where my frustration started to accumulate.

The Zune simply isnt ready for primetime. And yes, I was kinda miffed, but it was free anyway (gift from old colleague).

Peace out!

Would you be willing to sell it for a small price? Or donate it to a worthy cause?

Either fake or terribly ill and bipolar. I've upgraded all around, as have several of my coworkers and it's been seamless and we're loving it. To say it's not ready for primetime because there are a few bugs here and there(do you honestly think the iPod hasn't had bugs?) is absolutely absurd and ridiculous.

Patience is a virtue!
written by TexasRed250X, November 25, 2007
Most Zune problems arise from people being impatient. Microsoft is huge... It takes time to make improvements (which v2 is). It also takes time to implement fixes. Release v2.2 solved all issues I was having with v2. It's the best update I've ever had for any device.

Let's focus on REAL problems like their inability to make any version of Internet Explorer worth our time. It's crashed 4 times while I typed this. Thank GOD cut and paste from notepad still works!

PS. I would have bought your Zune. I've purchased 6 total Zunes for Family and Friends. Two for myself! We love them all. Now even better with v2.2.

I'm not going to lie I don't really like the new zune software. The firmware is great in my opinion, but the software kinda sucks. Two of my roommates also have zunes and are equally disappointed in the software. Looks nice, but its somewhat of a hassle.
